I was born in Florida and lived there for the first twenty years of my life. College baseball afforded me an opportunity to attend the University of Kentucky. During this time, I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ, and He transformed my sinful heart. To serve the Lord has been the most fulfilling pursuit I have ever known. Not life without problems, but life with purpose and satisfaction, meaning and hope.
From Kentucky, we moved to New Orleans to attend seminary. We began praying that God would lead us to a church where we could invest our lives. God has answered that prayer in FBC Gonzales. On September 15, 2021, we finish our twenty-eighth year with this faithful church family. What a great Church! I love these people! I have no other ministry aspirations or ladders to climb outside of Christ being glorified in this FBCG Body with a ripple effect to the ends of the earth.
I met my wife, Gwynne, during my college years with both of us just coming to terms with what it meant to be a Christ-follower. We reach our 34th year of marriage July 2021. What a joy to be married to such a faithful wife! God has blessed us with six children, three grandchildren with two on the way.
